Caltrain Strikes, Kills Man On Tracks Christmas In Santa Clara
The 13th fatal this year, the No. 426 southbound Caltrain collided with a man on the tracks near Scott Boulevard.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Christmas Day was mired when a man was fatally struck on the tracks near Scott Boulevard by a southbound Caltrain car.
No one on board the No. 426 train with 35 passengers on board was hurt.
The fatal crash halted train travel in the area for about three hours that afternoon from the 12:42 p.m. incident, marking the 13th fatality this year.

Emergency personnel had arrived on the scene Tuesday to find the body. No other information identifying the man nor circumstances was available.
"Caltrain reminds everyone to be safe around train tracks," Haroon Malek reported.
