“I am proud that the City of Cupertino was the first municipality in Santa Clara County to agendize a face-coverings order at the beginning of the pandemic,” Mayor Darcy Paul said. “It showed leadership and vision as we helped to ensure the health and safety of our residents, community, and region, with the lowest covid rates during the entirety of the pandemic.

“We are rescinding the order now to stay in alignment with state and national guidelines while we ensure that we keep doing our part to ensure public health and safety, and as we also keep doing our part to keep our local and overall economies running well.”

Face coverings may still be worn by those who choose to do so.
