Cupertino Chamber Lunch To Serve Up SC Co. Supervisor Simitian
Board Chairman Joe Simitian has a storied government past, including a few terms with the county seat.

CUPERTINO, CA — The Cupertino Chamber of Commerce's Legislative Action Committee is hosting a luncheon featuring Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors Chairman Joe Simitian on Friday.
The lunch — with the optional meal — is slated for 12:30 p.m. at Cupertino Community Hall located at 10350 Torre Avenue in Cupertino.
Simitian was elected to the county board in 2012 and re-elected in 2016. He represents the Fifth District, which includes Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Saratoga, Stanford and portions of Sunnyvale and San Jose.

His public service over the years includes terms as a member of the California State Senate and Assembly as well as serving as the Palo Alto mayor, president of the Palo Alto School Board. With the county, Simitian has advocated for support of disability-accessible housing as a “smart, humane, and cost-effective” way to prevent homelessness.
Known for his patience and passion about all things government and the arts, Simitian is also an accomplished member of the theater, having helped make TheatreWorks based in Palo Alto the Tony Award-winning, successful entertainment venue it is today.
