Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara is providing free flu shots to members at a drive-up clinic this year, thanks to a partnership with Mission College.

Two large parking lots (B and C) on the Mission College campus have been transformed into a drive-up flu clinic, which is providing more than 2,000 adult and pediatric vaccinations daily.

“Providing high quality, accessible health care is at the core of what Kaiser Permanente stands for and represents,” said Chris Boyd, Senior Vice President and Area Manager at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. “This partnership with Mission College is vitally important this year as we work to provide our members with an easy, fast and safe way to obtain their flu vaccination without having to come inside of a medical center.”

Kaiser Permanente offers drive-up flu shots at many locations, like Santa Clara

“Getting your flu shot is crucial this year, with the pandemic continuing, “said Rakesh Chaudhary, MD, Physician in Chief of Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara. “A flu vaccine not only protects against influenza, but also keeps people from having symptoms that could be confused for symptomatic COVID-19 disease.”

Getting the flu shot at the Mission College drive-thru will ensure that our members are social distancing.

“We are always ready to support our community and the Kaiser Permanente Flu Clinic is a perfect opportunity at a critical time,” said Daniel Peck, Mission College President. “From early reports it has been very successful. We welcome Kaiser Permanente and its members to Mission College.”
