House Fire Injures Three In Santa Clara

Santa Clara city firefighters extinguished the blaze from inside of the two-story home on Silveria Court amid heavy flames Monday morning.

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Three people were taken to a hospital Monday morning after a fire at a Santa Clara home, fire officials said.

Firefighters were called at 6:24 a.m. to the 2300 block of Silveria Court and found heavy flames coming from a two-story house, according to fire officials. Crews attacked the fire inside the home and extinguished it. It had spread to both the first and second floors, according to the Santa Clara Fire Department.

Three people were taken to the hospital to be evaluated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Crews remained on scene after the fire was extinguished to assist with property conservation, overhaul and salvage, fire officials said.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
