It's Your Shot: Pictures You Take And We Share

This week, a quiet moonrise is captured over the Bay Bridge as night sets in. Do you have next week's Shot?

SAN FRANCISCO BAY - It seems everyone’s a photographer these days.

Cell phones capture amazing images. True DSLR cameras render detail that almost looks surreal.

We got to thinking. Why not share the pictures we receive, and see elsewhere, with you?

This week, an early moonrise is captured over the Bay Bridge as night sets in near the end of May.

The moment was shared with us by former Patch editor JB Davis, who now works on Bay Area ferries, and says he has the opportunity to "witness the daily ebb and flow of the bay, the Bay Area and Mother Nature."

Regarding the image, JB says, "I used my iPhone. It was either Saturday, May 21 or Sunday, 22, 2016 at around 2100. We had just pulled out from the Ferry Building headed for Vallejo. I was on my way to the wheelhouse and had only a moment to get the shot. On weekdays you can get a sense of how good the sunrise/moon rise/sunset is by observing the commuters. They get these nature shows everyday so when they start taking pictures, it's a good indication that that day's event is particularly beautiful."

Thank you, JB, for sharing!
