It's Your Shot: Pictures You Take and We Share
This week, a quiet blanket of snow in Bridgeport, captured by a Patch contributor back on Christmas Day. Have you got next week's Shot?

BRIDGEPORT - It seems everyone’s a photographer these days.
Cell phones capture amazing images. True DSLR cameras render detail that almost looks surreal.
We got to thinking. Why not share the pictures we receive, and see elsewhere, with you?

This week, our image of a fresh snowscape in the Sierra comes to us courtesy of Patch contributor Greg Richtarek. The Shot was taken on Christmas Day, 2015.
“My wife and I spent Christmas in Bridgeport, just south of the Sonora Pass, right on 395,” Richtarek told us. “This was shot on Christmas Day after it snowed all day Christmas Eve and overnight.”

“The town sits in a meadow at about 7,000 feet, the Sawtooth Range of the Sierra, also known as the Sierra Matterhorns, frames the backdrop.
“Except for the infrequent traffic, the town is deserted,” says Richtarek. “A gas station, a bar & grill, and a general store remain open all year. It’s just gorgeous, serene, pastoral, quiet.”
