Rob Lowe Reschedules One-Man Show In San Jose

SAN JOSE, CA – Rob Lowe’s one-man show, Stories I Only Tell My Friends: Live!, originally scheduled for June 30 at San Jose’s Center for the Performing Arts, has been rescheduled to Saturday, Oct. 6 due to a scheduling conflict, according to Broadway San Jose.

Tickets purchased for the original date will be honored at the new performance, and ticketholders unable to attend the new date will be issued a refund, promoters said.

Tickets for the new Oct. 6 date go on sale on Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. -- online at www.ticketmaster.com, in-person at the City National Civic Box Office at 150 W. San Carlos St., San Jose, or by calling 800-982-ARTS (2787).

VIP “Meet and Greet” packages are available and include front orchestra seats, a signed copy of his book “Stories I Only Tell My Friends: An Autobiography” and a photo with Lowe.

After the success of his two New York Times best-selling memoirs, "Stories I Only Tell My Friends" and "Love Life," Lowe created the show as a peak behind the curtain at Hollywood, fame, fatherhood and marriage. The show includes Lowe's storytelling, plus a Q&A and insider film clips and photos.

“This isn’t a regurgitation of the books, because that wouldn’t be very much fun. This is very much its own beast, but it does have some of the same feel of the books,” said Lowe, an actor known for his "Brat Pack" days, "The West Wing" and "Parks and Recreation."

Stories I Only Tell My Friends: LIVE! is presented by Broadway San Jose, a Nederlander Presentation.
