Breaking: The city says the team violated city noise ordinances by allowing Wednesday's U2 concert to surpass the 10 p.m. curfew.

SANTA CLARA, CA — The City of Santa Clara is fining the San Francisco 49ers $1,000 because Wednesday night’s U2 concert at Levi’s Stadium went past curfew, according to a report by KPIX. The curfew for weekday events in the city is 10 p.m., but U2 played until 11 p.m., violating the city's noise ordinance. U2 was amazing! Period. Levi's stadium the worst, wait in line at a tap room that was tapped. pic.twitter.com/s2Oo1itOui

@Lenny_Mendonca @U2 @LevisStadium @49ers . @U2 was great (despite some early-tour flubs). The stadium, however, truly IS a disaster. Concessions, traffic, prices.. just a nightmare.

The 49ers said U2 was scheduled to end the show at 10 p.m. and they’re not sure why they didn't, according to the report. The 49ers had also previously asked the city for an extended curfew but were denied, the report says.
