Show Heart & Sole Of Community By Running At Charity Run
Heart & Sole slated for Saturday at Santa Clara University donates the proceeds to charitable organizations.
SANTA CLARA, CA -- Joggers may put their best foot forward by running for a good cause Saturday from Santa Clara University to Avaya Stadium as part of the Sixth Annual Heart and Soles 6K & 10K Run founded and put on by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation.
With your participation, this 6- and 10-kilometer running event will help the Boys and Girls Club of Silicon Valley renovate the Smythe Gym for 2,394 children to enjoy. The proceeds will also support the YMCA Silicon Valley in its quest to offer nine after-school and summer learning programs for sixth-grade students. Funds are also earmarked for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Cruz County and North San Mateo as well as the Earthquakes Foundation, Santa Clara Office of Education and Specialized Foundation.
This year’s fundraising goal aims to make $100,000 for Silicon Valley Leadership Foundation beneficiaries. In its first three years, the Heart and Soles Run contributed salad bars to more than 192 local schools, providing nutritious meals to about 150,000 school children.
