Silicon Valley Hotels Among Top in NorCal

Condé Nast Traveler released its list of annual Readers' Choice inn winners for 2019 in Northern California.

MENLO PARK, CA — Three Silicon Valley resorts scored as travelers' favorites in Northern California in the annual Condé Nast survey for 2019.

The Rosewood Sand Hill hotel in Menlo Park came in at No. 5, the Stanford Park Hotel, also in Menlo Park was No. 7 and the Hotel Valencia Santana Row in San Jose was ranked No. 11 in Condé Nast Traveler's annual Readers’ Choice Awards for Northern California's top hotels.

More than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitted responses rating their travel experiences.

Rosewood Sand Hill earned praise for its "lovely property that takes you to a serene and relaxing faraway feel" and the resort's "Northern California–inspired interiors (that) combine neutral hues with tones of walnut, cherry, and cedar." The hotel's Madera restaurant also won acclaim for its "excellently prepared American cuisine indoors or out," and the "Sense spa (with) fragrant gardens that mimic the surroundings."

The hotel, at 2825 Sand Hill Road, was one of a few Silicon Valley standouts, among Northern California's highly ranked hot spots.

Also on the list, Stanford Park, at 100 El Camino Real, won acclaim from travelers with its indoor, outdoor and in-room dining, coupled with luxe accommodations.

Ranked No. 11, Hotel Valencia Santana Row, at 355 Santana Row in San Jose, offers fine dining, shopping, upscale lodging and spa services.

Coming in at No. 1 in the survey in NorCal was Olema House Point Reyes, in Olema, regaled by readers for its location on the outskirts of the Point Reyes National Seashore, coupled with the hotel's "24 individually appointed rooms, which include two cottages, all tout heat-warmed floors, down comforters and pillows, and artisan Americana decor."
