Silicon Valley Reads: 1 Night, 2 Authors In Cupertino
"My Lovely Wife in the Psych Ward" and "Goodbye, Vitamin" writers will kick off the 2018 community book series.

CUOERTINO, CA – Join the first Silicon Valley Reads event – and the only opportunity to see two featured authors at the same time -- on Thursday, Feb. 1 in Cupertino, hosted by Santa Clara County Library District, the San José Public Library and the Santa Clara County Office of Education.
Mark Lukach, My Lovely Wife in the Psych Ward, and Rachel Khong, Goodbye, Vitamin, will be interviewed by Mercury News columnist Sal Pizarro in this special program beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Visual & Performing Arts Center, De Anza College, Cupertino.
"Goodbye, Vitamin is the critically-acclaimed debut novel of Rachel Khong. Through funny and poignant journal postings, a young woman chronicles the year she returned home to help take care of her father after his diagnosis of Alzheimer's," according to Silicon Valley Reads, a community program that promotes reading, literacy and dialogue about themes in a selected book or books. "My Lovely Wife in the Psych Ward is a powerful memoir by Mark Lukach about a young couple whose marriage is tested by the sudden onset of mental illness. Both spotlight the challenges of caregiving and the importance of community support during tough times."
