Cupertino To Hold Stop Asian Hate Rally On Saturday

The rally in front of Cupertino City Hall, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., will be followed by a short parade.

CUPERTINO, CA — The Asian American for Better Community is hosting a Stop Asian Hate rally in front of Cupertino City Hall on Saturday.

The rally, which is scheduled for 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., will be followed by a short parade. Speeches are planned from city council and community members from Mountain View, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Sunnyvale, West San Jose, the Cupertino Union School District, the Fremont Union High School District and the Foothill-De Anza Community College District.

Following speeches, a parade led by a marching band will start from Cupertino City Hall and take a loop to Rodrigues Avenue, De Anza Boulevard, Stevens Creek Boulevard and Torre Avenue before returning to city hall.

“Join as we stand up against racial injustice, challenge biases, racial stereotypes, and hate, and put an end to violent acts toward members of the Asian community,” the event description reads. “Come out to learn how we can care for one another, be more aware and knowledgeable of the biases, and support our community.”
