South Bay Man Charged With Drugs, Firearm Possession

The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office arrested the 26-year-old suspect after a traffic stop on Monday in Cupertino.

CUPERTINO, CA — A 26-year-old man was arrested on drugs and firearm violations during a traffic stop Monday night in Cupertino, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office said.

A driver later identified as Charlie Pham was pulled over in the area of Stevens Creek Boulevard at North De Anza Boulevard in Cupertino.

Pham was booked into the Santa Clara County Main Jail after deputies searched the vehicle and found a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine, a black ski-mask, more than 90 Xanax pills, chocolate bars laced with psilocybin, several baggies of methamphetamine and 200-plus grams of marijuana, the Sheriff's Office said.
