South Bay Police Make Child Pornography Arrest

SUNNYVALE, CA — A South Bay man was arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography at his home in Sunnyvale on Wednesday, according to Sunnyvale police. The man worked as an overnight counselor at a youth camp in the Santa Cruz mountains in 2018 and 2019, he told police in an interview.
Police said that 21-year-old Pedro Rivera-Garcia denied engaging in sexual behavior with any children at the camp, but he confessed to possessing approximately 700 videos that showed the sexual exploitation of children, as well as a cell phone with similar videos.
Police seized three laptops and a cell phone while serving a search warrant at Rivera-Garcia’s house, according to a news release.
