Vehicle Crashes Into House, Prompts Gas Leak: Santa Clara Police
The driver suffered from "a medical issue," then crashed into the house off Bing Drive, causing "minimal" damage per Santa Clara Police.

SANTA CLARA, CA —The driver of a car that careened into a house was transported to the hospital Monday morning, the Santa Clara Police Department reported.
The South Bay crash called in at 9:25 a.m. occurred at Bing Drive near Gallatin Drive and Lochinvar Avenue after Santa Clara Police Capt. Wahid Kazem said the driver had "a medical issue" then struck the building. The crash closed Bing Drive for about seven hours, police said.
The crash caused a minor gas leak that temporarily evacuated nearby residents, but firefighters quickly capped off the seepage, police added.

Firefighters remained on the scene to check for structural damage to the damage, which was reported as "minimal."
