Cupertino, Calif. –APRIL 2, 2020 – West Valley Community Services (www.wvcommunityservices.og) has launched a fundraising effort to support their client base, “families in need” to continue paying rent or get their next meal during the Shelter In Place California mandate.
“As our community's safety net, West Valley Community Services' is called now, more than ever, to serve the needs of our low income and homeless residents,” said Josh Selo, executive director, WVCS.
“ As you know, the Coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic is resulting in school and business closures that will lead to loss of jobs and hourly earnings. While we are all concerned about what the next day will bring, this pandemic will undoubtedly leave a harmful and long-lasting impact on the most vulnerable people in our neighborhoods,” he added.
In light of increased demand for food and financial assistance, we are asking our community to come together to meet the needs of low-income children, families, and individuals.
Please lend your support to the community in this time of great need.
