West Valley Community Services Unveils New Mobile Food Pantry

The new "Park-It Market" vehicle will serve locations in Cupertino, Campbell and Saratoga.

CUPERTINO, CA — West Valley Community Services, a social services organization based in Silicon Valley, unveiled a new “Park-It Market” vehicle on Wednesday with an aim of providing free food and healthcare items to those experiencing food insecurity.

The new vehicle will be located at West Valley’s renovated headquarters in Cupertino and serve De Anza College in Cupertino, Rosemary Elementary School in Campbell and Fellowship Plaza in Saratoga. It replaces an old RV and features a pop-up door leading to grocery items.

“Our guiding principle is human dignity,” West Valley Community Services Executive Director Josh Selo said in a news release. “We don’t want people to feel stigmatized as they face the life-altering challenge of not being able to feed their families.”
