DANVILLE, CA — The public will have a chance to weigh in on a proposed plan to build 69 single-family homes on 29 acres at Magee Ranch during the Town of Danville's planning commission meeting set for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Town Hall. A public hearing will take place and after the commission has heard all comments, it will decide whether to recommend that Town Council approve or deny the proposed development.

The proposed project site is located on the south side of Diablo and Blackhawk roads, extending approximately two miles east from the intersection of Diablo, Green Valley and McCauley roads. It's part of a 410-acre project site, known as Magee Ranch.

In addition to the 69 proposed homes, many of the residences would include "casitas." Roadways and infrastructure are also part of the project, as is a plan to remove 15 Town-protected trees. A total of 67 trees would be removed if the development gets a green light. Approximately 381 acres of the project site would be retained as permanent open space, according to the application.
