Alamo Hay & Grain Co. Property Available For Sale Or Lease
Alamo Hay & Grain Co., which sold pet and equestrian supplies, along with feed, chicks, ducklings and bunnies, abruptly shuttered in July.

ALAMO, CA — In July, the popular Alamo Hay & Grain Co. feed store permanently closed its metal door after almost 60 years of business. Now the property is up for sale or lease, according to broker Peter Maclennan, who is representing the owner.
Maclennan did not provide a price but said there have been interested buyers.
Alamo Hay & Grain Co., which sold pet and equestrian supplies, along with feed, chicks, ducklings and bunnies, abruptly shuttered over the summer. The property located at 3196 Danville Blvd., opened in 1962. It's just under 12,000 square feet and includes two buildings and barns.

In 2016, the community mourned the loss of owner John Bellandi, who took over the store in the late 1970s. His widow, Anne Bellandi, handled the business until it closed.
