Del Mar Property Values Up 6.82%, Says County Assessor
The San Diego County Assessor's office reported property values were up 3 percent overall in San Diego County.

The San Diego County Assessor released data Thursday showing a 6.82 percent increase in property values in Del Mar. The increase was the largest of the 18 cities in the county.Â
The overall assessed value in Del Mar increased from $2.69 bilion to $2.88 billion. The properties were valued as of Jan. 1, 2013.
Neighboring Solana Beach saw just a 2.5 percent and San Diego a 4.25 percent increase.
The county saw a 3 percent increase in all property and likely will produce an additional $3.9 billion in property taxes.
"The residential real estate market improved in the last six months of 2012," Dronenburg said. "The improved residential market required our office to partially or totally restore temporarily reduced rates as the market value on many properties exceeded the values calculated pursuant to Prop. 13. In addition, we experience positive change in ownership and new construction activity."Â
