After Diamond Bar, Bank Bandits Strike Redlands

After a May 16 heist in Diamond Bar and a May 23 robbery in San Dimas, FBI investigators believe the same two men robbed another bank in Redlands Thursday.

Two bank bandits that hit a Diamond Bar branch on May 16 are at it again, according to FBI investigators, after another heist Thursday in Redlands.

The duo, dubbed the "Green Horn Bandits," are also wanted in connection with a May 23 bank robbery in San Dimas, according to Captain Mike Parker of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

FBI investigators named the bandits after a number of witnesses said that the two men seemed "inexperienced" and "clumsy."

The suspects' vehicle has not been clearly identified in any of the cases. After the Diamond Bar heist, authorities believed the suspects to be leaving in a silver Nissan truck, but could not confirm a connection between the suspects and that vehicle.

Additional reports from the San Dimas and Redlands robberies had the suspects driving a silver or light-colored Dodge Avenger or a Chevy Colorado truck.

In San Dimas, the suspects hit another California Bank & Trust Branch; in Redlands, they hit the Community Bank at 200 E. Citrus Ave.

The suspects are described as being between ages 25-33 and standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 6 feet tall.

The FBI is offering $5,000 for the identification and arrest of either of the suspects in connection with this robbery.
