Agreement in the Works for Blockbuster Space
A new national tenant is in the works for the former Diamond Bar Blockbuster according to the property management firm at the site.

While Diamond Bar searches for a tenant to replace supermarket in August, a deal at the vacant Blockbuster next door is in the works.
Updated, Aug. 5: A new Citibank branch will be opening up at the site of the former Blockbuster. Representatives from BARCO Management did not return a phone call and email about the timeline for opening the new business.
Deborah Collins at BARCO Management, which manages the properties at the Diamond Bar Towne Center, said Tuesday that a deal is currently being negotiated with a national chain for that space.

Collins said she could not specify the tenant until a lease is signed, but that the process is in the works.
Mayor Steve Tye said at Tuesday night's city council meeting that the city is continuing to reach out to national businesses "above and beyond" BARCO's efforts in hopes of attracting a national chain to the Ralphs location as well.

Tye said the city would hope for a "positive announcement" in the next few months at the space Ralphs will occupy until its lease expires in mid-August.
