Volunteers are needed to help with tutoring in GED math and English classes for adults and teens. GED classes are Monday - Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteer coordinator Ronald Ortizo said about 10 students from 16-17 years-old are in the tutoring classes.
Inland Valley Hope Partners is a faith-based nonprofit that manages an emergency shelter, four food pantries, and a farmers market in Pomona that provides low-income families access to fresh produce. According to the IVHP website, the organization serves around 75,000 people per year with a staff of nine and a volunteer force numbering approximately 150 people.
