Here's a look at recent incidents reported at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station.

DIAMOND BAR
Sunday, March 13
Spousal assault - A Diamond Bar man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his wife in the parking lot around midnight.

A McDonald's employee who was working at the restaurant's drive-thru window called police after seeing what she said was a man punching and kicking a woman near the restaurant parking lot.
The man was apprehended approximately two hours later, according to police reports, when a Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop of the suspect's vehicle. The suspect told the officer he only had an argument with his spouse earlier. The victim told Sheriff's she did not wish to seek medical treatment for her injuries.

Tuesday, March 15
Burglary - a home was reportedly burglarized and vandalized on Carriso Road between 5:10 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. The victim reported an estimated $500 of stolen goods and $4,100 of damage to property at the residence.
The victim also reported the discovery of piles of human excrement in the back yard and another pile of excrement inside of a paper box behind another gate on the south side of the home.
Sunday, March 20
Burglary - an iPod was stolen from a vehicle between the hours of 7 p.m. Sunday and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22 on Jason Place. The front window of the vehicle was found shattered.
Monday, March 21
Hate Crime (sexual orientation) and Battery - a male teen was attacked around 3:10 p.m. while walking up Kiowa Crest Drive in what the victim described as a hate crime. The victim said the assailant verbally assaulted him before punching him in the mouth and leaving him unconscious.
The suspect fled the scene and soon after went to the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station where the reporting officer detained him. The suspect detailed a physical altercation and said he was "extremely upset" by rumors he said the victim was spreading about him at Diamond Bar High School.
The suspect denied using any hate speech in his confrontation with the victim. He was transported to Los Padrinos Juvenile detention center in Downey.
Burglary - an iPod was reported stolen from a vehicle on Delta Drive between 1 and 7:30 a.m. The passenger window of the vehicle was found shattered.
Tuesday, March 22
Grand Theft - an estimated $515 in medical equipment was stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 300 block of Ballena Drive between the hours of 9 p.m. and 7:45 a.m. the following morning.
The items stolen included a blank company check, blood pressure cuffs, and a Littman cardiology stethoscope. The passenger front window had been left partially open by the victim and police determined that the suspect was able to unlock the door through the window.
Wednesday, March 23
Theft by access card - a man reported his wallet stolen along with fraudulent charges to the card made at Target in Diamond Bar between the hours of 12 and 12:45 p.m.
The victim reported leaving his wallet in the driver's side door of his vehicle while parked at L.A. Fitness and the wallet was not present when he returned.
Petty theft - a laptop and backpack were reported stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of L.A. Fitness between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
The victim reported that his backpack containing the computer was on the front seat of the car prior to the reported theft and he was unsure if the vehicle was locked at the time.
Thursday, March 24
Burglary - a black "Bally" bag was stolen from a vehicle in the L.A. Fitness parking lot between the hours of 5:15 p.m. and 6:50 p.m.
The passenger window of the vehicle was found shattered. The victim estimated the value of the bag and its contents to be around $1,000.
WALNUT
Friday, March 18
Burglary - a navigation system was stolen from a vehicle in the Mt. San Antonio College parking lot between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 9:10 a.m. Police discovered the door lock had been punched to provide entry to the vehicle.
Burglary - a number of tools and contstruction equipment were reported stolen from a construction site at Mt. San Antonio College between March 18 and March 21 at times unknown.
Suspects reportedly entered the site by cutting a hole in the chain link fence around the construction site and stole numerous items from storage bins at the site. Officers found that the containers were missing locks and were cut using an unknown tool.
The containers that had been entered belonged to three different companies and the value of the property stolen was estimated at $3,900.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon - Elizabeth Martinez, 43, of Montclair was wanted after a domestic altercation around 8:30 p.m. According to police reports, Martinez crashed her car into her ex-boyfriend's pickup truck after a verbal fight on Centenary Drive.
The victim and his girlfriend were reportedly in the vehicle when Martinez allegedly collided with the rear end of the couple's pickup truck.
Petty theft - a tailgate was reported stolen from a truck in a Mt. San Antonio College parking lot between 5:15 and 10 p.m.
Saturday, March 19
Vandalism - a woman reported that her car had been vandalized between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m Sunday on Kem Way. The victim reported that the luggage rack on her car had been tagged.
Operating business without license — a tamale vendor was arrested on charges of operating a business without a license after a Sheriff's officer discovered Rutilio Serrano Medina, 52, selling tamales from his vehicle near La Puente Road and Nogales Street in West Covina.
The officer reported that he had prior contact with the Medina and had asked him why he was at the location selling tamales again. The suspect told the officer "because I got to make a living, man."
The officer found a bag with $77 and a pot full of tamales in the vehicle, which were photographed as evidence and then disposed of. Suspect Medina was later released from Walnut station with a citation for the violation.
Monday, March 21
Burglary - a "History of Jazz" and math textbook were stolen from a vehicle in the Mt. San Antonio College parking lot between 7:30 and 10:30 a.m. The passenger side window of the vehicle had been smashed.
Wednesday, March 23
Possession / Transportation of a Controlled Substance - Joseph Mendez, 18, of Walnut and Veronica Aguiar, 19, of Pomona were arrested in Walnut at 1:55 p.m. near La Puente Road and Pierre Avenue for possession of an unmarked bottle of morphine with no prescription.
A Sheriff's deputy stopped the two after noticing a non-functioning center brake light on the vehicle, according to police reports. The officer reported smelling a faint odor of marijuana in the car and asked Mendez if he could search the vehicle.
The officer said the suspect became argumentative before the search, which discovered an unmarked bottle of morphine pills in Aguiar's purse. Mendez told officers that he was transporting the pills to a retired doctor that for whom he said he was a caretaker.
Mendez was arrested for transportation of a controlled substance and Aguiar was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Grand theft - a purse was reported stolen from a napping student in the student life building at Mt. San Antonio College between the hours 5:50 p.m. and 6 p.m. The victim claimed the purse contained an estimated $1,217 worth of electronics, including a cell phone, iPod, and an electronic dictionary.
Thursday, March 24
Unlawful possession of a dangerous weapon - Heather Sanchez, 25, of Baldwin Park, was taken into custody after allegedly making criminal threats against another woman in a Mt. San Antonio College parking lot at around 6:55 p.m. Police reports detail a dispute over a parking space that the victim claims led to Sanchez using aggressive language and threatening her with a tire iron retrieved from the trunk of the suspect's car.
The victim and witnesses, who were acquaintances of the victim, reported that the victim backed up to wait for a parking space and was assaulted verbally after pulling into the space.
The suspect said she did not verbally threaten the victim nor did she retrieve a tire iron from her trunk during the reported altercation. Officers discovered a tire iron matching the victim and witnesses descriptions in the trunk of the suspect's vehicle and took the item as evidence.
Identity theft - two "skimming devices" were discovered at the Chevron on Lemon Avenue between at 12 p.m. and were taken in to evidence by Sheriff's officers. The manager of the gas station that identified the devices said he recongized them because he had identified similar units at a station in Diamond Bar.
Indecent exposure - Kyle Molino, 20, was placed under citizen's arrest at 12:45 p.m. in the parking lot of Home Goods after a witness reportedly observed Molino fondling himself in his vehicle.
The victim said that she parked next to Molino's vehicle and witnessed the act as she was exiting her car. Molino reported to officers that he was waiting for his friends to meet to study when he began texting his girlfriend and "the texting got heated," according to police reports.
The victim reported that she attempted to take a photograph of the act with her camera phone but was unable to before Molino covered himself with his shirt.
