City Council Agrees: They're Grrreat!

The Diamond Bar City Council presented certificates of recognition to Diamond Bar AYSO's under-8 squad, Team Frosted Flakes, after the team won a national contest sponsored by Kellogg's.

By now, the Diamond Bar under-8 AYSO's Team Frosted Flakes is used to the limelight.

After winning a national Kellogg's cereal contest by sharing the team's devotion to their namesake, Frosted Flakes, the eight-member squad took part in a at Cal Poly Pomona on Jan. 25.

The team was also treated to an evening breakfast of Frosted Flakes and donuts shared with Tony the Tiger, which Mayor Steve Tye said he admired the parents for allowing.

On Tuesday evening, the Diamond Bar City Council recognized the team for winning the national contest and "bringing good recognition to Diamond Bar."

DB AYSO Regional Commissioner Lisa May also posted a gallery of the meeting online.
