City Seeks Top Volunteers for Award, New 'Volunteens'
The city of Diamond Bar will honor its top volunteers at a ceremony during the city's 22nd birthday celebration in April. Nominations will be accepted through March 18.

The city of Diamond Bar is looking for nominees for its annual Outstanding Volunteer Awards Program to be presented as part of the city's 22nd birthday party on April 16.
The city's public information coordinator, Cecilia Arellano, said the city is encouraging residents to take advantage of the "once-in-a-year opportunity" to acknowledge those who have given their time to serve in some way.
Oustanding volunteers will be selected from the adult and under 18 categories.
Nominations will be accepted until March 18 and forms are available at all city facilities, or nominees can be submitted using the city's online form.

The city is also looking to recruit volunteers from ages 13-15 to serve in the city's 2011 'Volunteen' program. The program allows teens to serve a minimum of 15 hours per week from June 9 through August 19 to help run youth day camps and sports, senior services, enrichment programs for pre-school aged children, and special events.
