Coroner IDs Man Killed In Pomona Car Crash
A 23-year-old man died at the scene early Tuesday morning when a car crashed at a high rate of speed then rolled over into a tree.

POMONA, CA — The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office identified a man who died Tuesday when the car he was riding in crashed into a tree in Pomona.
Anthony Tucker Jr., 23, was pronounced dead at the scene of the solo car crash shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday. His city of residence was not released as of this report.
The car Tucker was riding in struck a tree in the 2000 block of North Garey Avenue, according to the coroner's office and the Pomona Police Department. Two other people in the vehicle suffered critical injuries.

After the initial investigation, Pomona Police discovered that the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a concrete divider and rolled over into a tree.
One passenger was flung from the vehicle, and two others were trapped inside. Tucker was inside the car and perished from his injuries.

"We do not know who was driving, or if alcohol and drugs were a factor," a spokesperson for the Pomona Police Department said. Major Accident Investigators were still investigating the dynamics of the collision as of this report.
