Council Considers Code Change, Contracts

The Diamond Bar city council will vote on a number of contract agreements for the new fiscal year at Tuesday's meeting.

In public hearings, beginning at 6:45 p.m.:

• A subdivision creating two lots, each that would hold a single-family residence at 2127 Derringer Lane.
• Adjustment to boundaries of a city landscape assessment district, and assessment of related fees.
• First reading of a change to the city code that would clarifythe city's ability to recover legal fees in nuisance abatement proceedings.

In contracts:

• A two-year agreement with Excel Landscape for work in the city's landscape maintenance districts, totaling up to $356,675 annually.
• A two-year agreement with Valleycrest Landscape Maintenance for landscape work at the city's parks and other facilities, totaling up to $387,955 annually.
• A one-year agreement with West Coast Arborists for city-wide tree maintenance and watering, totaling up to $189,000.
• A three-year agreement with D.H. Maintenance Services for janitorial building maintenance at some city facilities, totaling up to $190,832 annually.
• A one-year agreement with Herry International, Inc. Construction Management Services for the construction of a new city hall and Los Angeles County Public Library, totaling up to $426,351.
