Deputies Still Seeking Bank Robbery Suspects, Business as Usual for Nearby Sign Spinner
Sheriff's deputies are still seeking two bank robbery suspects Tuesday morning after the heist reported Monday afternoon. Dean Burns, who was working in front of the building Monday, said he was surprised by the incident.
Two men are still on the loose after reportedly robbing the Monday afternoon, Sgt. Ernie Vanderpoorten of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said Tuesday morning.
The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money from the location and deputies did not positively identify the getaway vehicle.
employee Dean Burns said he was near the shopping center when a police helicopter was aiding in the search Monday after the robbery at 3:07 p.m. and said he saw what be believed to be a black Monte Carlo speeding away from the scene.

Sheriff's deputies reported that the getaway vehicle was silver, but no further details were available.
Burns, who has lived in Diamond Bar most of his life, was surprised to hear of the robbery Monday afternoon.

"This used to be a safe place," Burns said. "I hate to see stuff like that, especially in this community."
From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., it was still business as usual for Burns, who shuttles about the corner in front of the bank, spinning a sign for the Round Table buffet.
