Entries Sought For Diamond Bar's 'Through My Lens' Photo Contest

The photography contest was postponed last year by city officials because of COVID-19.

DIAMOND BAR, CA — After a one-year hiatus during 2020 because of the coronavirus, Diamond Bar is bringing back its Through My Lens Photo Contest to give shutterbugs in the city a chance to showcase their work.

Contest organizers are looking for candid photographs from around the city that depict moments with family members or pets, or shots that highlight Diamond Bar's natural wildlife or landscape. A registration fee is not required and residents of all ages and photography skill levels are encouraged to enter, organizers said.

Entries are being accepted now until August 31 and each photographer can submit a maximum of two photos. Photographs will be accepted in these five categories: people, pets, places, nature and digitally-altered.

The contest will be split into two divisions — a youth division for contests 17 and younger and an adult division for people 18 and older, according to contest organizers.

Winners will be chosen before the end of 2021 and cash prizes will be awarded to photographs who place first and second in each category. An overall grand-prize winner will also be chosen.
