Family Fair Celebration Planned In Walnut

It's time once again to celebrate Walnut and all who live here! head to Suzanne Park Oct. 12 to enjoy the 44th Annual Family Fair!

WALNUT, CA —With warm weather expected, there will be no better place to celebrate the city of Walnut's 44th annual Family Festival than under the trees. On Saturday, Oct. 12, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the city of Walnut will celebrate Arbor Day at Suzanne Park.

The City’s Arborist along with West Coast Arborists will feature a “Benefit of Trees” exhibit and will be highlighting furniture and carvings made of recycled street trees.

The City of Walnut has been recognized as a Tree City USA since 2012. As an official Tree City USA, the City strives to preserve and protect Walnut’s “Community Forest.”

Around 15,500 trees are maintained within the almost nine square mile City limits each year, giving the community a breath of fresh air as well as balm for the eyes.

Highlights include an Opening Procession, Live Entertainment, Kid’s Fun Zone (with rides, games, petting zoo, kiddy train ride, and other attractions), Food Booths, Arts & Crafts vendors as well as a variety of service clubs, youth organizations, businesses, and environmental services, according to the city.
