Local High School Hoopsters Make Strong Showing in Post Season
Nogales, Walnut, and Diamond Bar all advance into the quarters, Diamond Ranch bows out in 66-59 loss to Hesperia

WALNUT- The battle of the Mustangs was won by the host Walnut over the visiting Trabuco Hills 60-43 Friday night in a Division 2A second round matchup. The 43 points was Trabuco Hills second lowest scoring total this season.
Walnut (20-9), who led wire-to-wire used its suffocating defense and its quickness to dispatch Trabuco Hills (21-8) will host Muir Tuesday night in one quarterfinal matchup.
“"They got every 50-50 ball. They just wanted it,” Trabuco Hills coach Sean Sullens said. “Every offensive rebound was theirs. That is not a formula for success, especially not on the road, against a well-coached team in the playoffs.”
