Man Suspected of Shooting Acquaintance on Two Separate Occasions

A man captured yesterday in Diamond Bar is suspected of shooting Patrick Sean Hunt of Pomona on two separate occasions, according to Lt. Eddie Vasquez of the Pomona police. The suspect, Enrique Parra, already faces one charge of attempted murder.

Enrique Parra, 27, will likely be charged with two counts of attempted murder after allegedly shooting the same victim on two separate occasions, according to Lt. Eddie Vasquez with the Pomona Police Department.

Vasquez confirmed that Parra, of Diamond Bar, was wanted under suspicion of shooting Pomona resident Patrick Sean Hunt in May of 2010 and had been fleeing from police until he was captured Thursday night after allegedly shooting Hunt a second time in Phillips Ranch.

Thursday night, Parra was captured by Pomona police and L.A. County Sheriff's officers after a car identified as Parra's was spotted on the 22000 block of Sunset Crossing Road.

The two men were acquaintances, according to Lt. Vasquez, and police reports state that the shooting took place after a verbal confrontation between the two men in a Phillips Ranch shopping center off of Village Loop Drive.

According to a report in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin regarding the May shooting, Parra allegedly shot Hunt in the neck while the two were visiting a mutual friend.

A police news release in connection with the May incident reported that Parra allegedly shot Hunt "for no apparent reason" and then fled from the residence.

Hunt was treated at the scene in that shooting as well and was airlifted to the hospital.
