Mormon Helping Hands Day Coats Ronald Reagan Park
A section of brick wall at Ronald Reagan Park has a new look with the help from volunteers during Mormon Helping Hands Day.
A section of wall at Ronald Reagan Park got a new look Saturday with the help of volunteers for Mormon Helping Hands day.
Rick Kern, the group's manager Saturday, said the team found a good partnership with the city to identify a project suited to the group's size and interest.
"The city power-washed the section of the wall before we arrived," Kern said.

Helping Hands Day began in 1998 in the South American countries of Argentina, Uruguay, and Chile when the Mormon church asked local church officials to conduct service projects in their communities.
Saturday's Diamond Bar project was just one of many locally, which included projects in Chino Hills, LaVerne, Ontario, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, and Fontana.
