Nomination Period Open for Walnut City Council Election

The nomination period for the Walnut City Council election began this week.

A general municipal election has been set for April 8, 2014 for two seats on the council. The seats up for election are those currently held by Councilwoman Mary Su and Councilman Bob Pacheco, who was appointed in July to fill the vacated seat of former Mayor Tom King.

The nomination period closes on Jan. 13.

For more information on how to pull papers to run for council, contact the City Clerk's office at Walnut City Hall by calling City Hall at 909-595-7543 or visiting in person at 21201 La Puente Road.

City Hall is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Thursday, except holidays.
