Hydrant Downed, Water Flies Early Monday

A broken water supply has water shooting high into the air over Pathfinder Road Monday morning.

UPDATED: Fire Capt. Gino Ketelsleger said there were no injuries related to the fire hydrant collision early Monday morning at the station on Pathfinder.

Diamond Bar High School Athletic Director Kurt Davies was near the scene when he said a semi-truck pulling a trailer knocked the hydrant out as the driver attempted to pull into the station.

Capt. Ketelsleger said the hydrant was sheered off as designed and the water district was able to replace the unit soon after the accident, which was reported around 9 a.m.
