Proposed Industry Football Stadium Gets Riverside County Support

The Riverside County Board of Supervisors issued unanimous support Tuesday for a Los Angeles football stadium to be constructed at Grand Crossing in the City of Industry. 

The support is the latest in a back and forth public relations and development battle between the Grand Crossing plan of Majestic Realty and the downtown Los Angeles plan of Philip Anschutz. 

According to a report in the North County Times, Riverside County officials decided to take a side on the matter in anticipation of regional benefits from a stadium east of Los Angeles. 

In early March, the NFL asked the Industry project to change the name of its location to after the downtown project received a $700 million sponsorship agreement with Farmers Insurance.
