Sheriff's Respond to Dud Artillery Shell at Mt. SAC
Sheriff's officers were called in Thursday night after a caller reported that someone brought a .44 caliber artillery shell into building 66. The round was determined to be inert.

Police responded to a report of a .44 caliber artillery shell in building 66 on the Mt. SAC campus sometime before 4:37 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, prompting a brief containment of the area.
The arson and explosives unit at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station determined the round was an inert display round.
Sheriff's worked with campus security to set up a containment around the area.
