Silly String for Serious Fundraising at Evergreen Elementary
Evergreen Elementary Principal Don Trimmer cast a risky bet when he told students they could all launch silly string at him if over 150 participated in the Walnut district's annual 5k fundraiser.
Evergreen Elementary Physical education teacher Dave Gretz and Principal Don Trimmer took one for the team on March 28 when they braced for an onslaught of silly string from the entire school.
As a man of his word, Principal Trimmer held to his agreement that if over 150 students participated in the district's annual 5k fundraiser, each student would be armed with a can of silly string.
