[UPDATE] No Active Fire

A brushfire that started Tuesday afternoon on three acres near Diamond Bar Boulevard and Pathfinder Road is no longer burning, Battalion Chief Ed Gandara said.

UPDATE, 4:12 p.m.: The brushfire is no longer burning and firefighters will be at the scene throughout the day to clear any hotspots, Battalion Chief Ed Gandera of the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.

The fire, which was contained on about three unoccupied acres near the intersection of Brea Canyon Road and Pathfinder Road, met with response from multiple departments in the area.

Gandara said an automatic response agreement between Brea and Orange County fire crews brought out additional support to knock down the fire.

"This was a great multi-agency response," Gandera said. 

No homes or injuries were reported in the containment.

UPDATE, 3:51 p.m.: The brushfire near the intersection of Brea Canyon Cutoff Road and Pathfinder road is no longer spreading, according to a firefighter with knowledge of the situation. Official word on containment and the cause of the fire is still pending.
