Star Student and Dog Trainer Extraordinaire: Jessica Nguyen

Accomplishment: Jessica made it onto the Principal's Honor Roll this year at Golden Springs, where she is also a Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) student. Jessica was a finalist in the last school spelling bee and is also a long-time athlete, playing soccer with the Diamond Bar AYSO for the last six years.

Key to Awesomeness: Jessica's biggest and most challenging accomplishment still lies ahead: training her new Maltese puppy. Jessica's mother, Laura, said her daughter has taken on "homework" responsibility for a new weekly class, and Jessica makes sure the pup, Mayo, is learning his p's and q's.

After Golden Springs, Jessica will likely transition to where she plans to be active with the school's Associated Student Body, which plans and runs special events for students.
