[UPDATED] Attempted Murder Suspect in Custody
Lt. John Saleeby of the Diamond Bar Sheriff's station said the suspect being pursued in Diamond Bar in connection with an attempted murder earlier today has been captured.
A man wanted for attempted murder by Pomona police, according to Sgt. Mario Estrada at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station, has been captured.
Lt. John Saleeby reported that the suspect was captured after Sheriff's set up a perimeter around a vehicle identified by Pomona police as belonging to the suspect. The car was identified earlier in the afternoon by a Diamond Bar officer.
A stylist at , located down the street from where the car was found, said that officers warned her earlier in the evening that a man suspected of murdering two people in Pomona was on the loose carrying a firearm and asked her to keep her doors locked.

Lt. Saleeby could not confirm the nature of the allegations against the suspect and deferred any details about the case to Pomona authorities, who are handling the case.
Pomona police will be issuing a release later tonight with more information about the suspect and search.

Police are searching near the 22000 block of Sunset Crossing Road for a man suspected of attempted murder by Pomona police, according to Sgt. Mario Estrada at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's station.
A car matching that described by Pomona PD in connection with the search for this suspect was spotted earlier today by a Sheriff's officer in Diamond Bar and a containment perimeter was set up around the vehicle.
The suspect was not in the vehicle at that time.
A helicopter was circling near the 60 freeway and Sunset Crossing Road in connection with the search for this suspect.
