[VIDEO] Diamond Ranch Musicians Bring in Full House at Fox Theater

Diamond Ranch musicians played for a full house of over 1,000 Sunday at the Fox Theater in downtown Pomona. Proceeds from the event are to benefit the school's instrumental music program.

The Diamond Ranch instrumental music program played for a full house at the historic Fox Theater Sunday night in a concert to benefit the music program.

"Many of the instruments have been at Diamond Ranch since the school first opened (12 years ago)," event organizer and Village Academy teacher John Muscente said Sunday night.

This is the first year of the "Spring Suite" event, which was formerly held at the school as the "Cabaret Dinner," which hosted just over 100 attendees.

"This event had way more people than the Cabaret dinner," 2009 DRHS music graduate Russell Berman said.

This year's move to the Fox Theater allowed the event to balloon tenfold, selling over 1,000 general admission tickets and VIP tables near the stage.

Berman, who played the clarinet in the school's wind ensemble, said being back for the annual year-end concert was a sign of growth and progress for the program.

The proceeds from the concert, for which the theater was donated, will benefit the school's instrumental music program.
