Walnut House Fire Kills 2, 3 Firefighters Injured
Two people have died and three firefighters are hurt after a house fire Thursday morning.
WALNUT, CA — Two people are dead and three firefighters are in the hospital after a fire Thursday morning.
The LA County Fire Department says they were called to a two-story home on fire around 10 a.m. When they arrived, they found a home with heavy smoke pouring from the second floor windows.
After battling the fire for almost an hour, firefighters managed to gain the upper hand and knock the fire down. While searching the home they found two people dead inside.

Three firefighters were also hurt battling the blaze, and have been taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The fire department says it took 49 firefighters to control fire.
