A man is in custody today after a standoff with Sheriff's deputies that lasted more than seven hours.
Walnut Sheriff's Station Sgt. B. Lang said that the department's special assignment unit was able to enter the property in the 20700 block of Carrey Road and found the man incoherent in one of the rooms.
The suspect was taken into custody without force, Lang said.
Lang had earlier said that the standoff was a a home, but later clarified that it was in a business in a large complex. The suspect and the victim might have been living at the business, but that is uncertain, he said.

A Sheriff's special weapons team responded to the 20700 block of Carrey Drive, Walnut, regarding a barricaded suspect.
The suspect was involved in a domestic violence incident where he was armed with a weapon.
The incident is ongoing.

The special assignment unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is at the scene of a standoff in Walnut related to a domestic disturbance call.
At 9 a.m. today, deputies received a call from a woman about an alleged domestic disturbance with her boyfriend that happened Tuesday night, said Sgt. B. Lang. When deputies arrived at the home at Carrey and Pierre roads and went to the door, the boyfriend refused to come out, Lang said.
The Sheriff's special assignment unit is on the scene attempting to talk to boyfriend into complying, Lang said.
