Walnut Pieology Restaurant To Launch 'Autism Speaks' Fundraiser

WALNUT, CA — The Walnut location of pizza-pie emporium, Pieology, is partnering this month with Autism Speaks in a week-long fundraiser to support the nationwide, nonprofit devoted to those on the Autism spectrum and their families.

From Nov. 19 through Nov. 26, 20 percent of checks from patrons, who present a copy of the promotional flyer or an email printout, will go to Autism Speaks, according to the business.

The Walnut site, at 505 N. Grand Ave., is among participating corporate Pieology locations in California aiming to raise $4,000 statewide, or about $200 per location, for the organization dedicated to increasing medical research, understanding and acceptance of people with Autism.

Diners also can donate $1 and get a puzzle piece, with the Autism Speaks logo, which will be posted at the area restaurants through Dec. 8, the date of the Autism Speaks Walk at Angels Stadium in Anaheim.

Pieology prides itself as a pizzeria that offers custom, wide-ranging options for crusts, sauces, toppings and "after-bake" sauces. See menu here.
