Walnut: Update-La Puente Rd. And Forecastle Ave. Traffic Signal Installation Project

The City of Walnut will continue work on the La Puente Rd. & Forecastle Ave. Traffic Signal Installation Project to bring a safer drive in your community.

What: Work to be performed in the upcoming weeks will include completion of underground electrical conduit and pull box installation, repairing temporary patches in the roadway, construction of a block wall on the northwest and northeast corners of the intersection, and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps and sidewalk at all four corners of the intersection. The complete project will construct a signalized intersection at La Puente Rd. and Forecastle Ave. This includes the installation of traffic signal poles, street lights, advanced loop detectors, and pedestrian crosswalks. Access will remain open throughout the duration of the project. Schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen factors.

Working Days/ Hours
Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Traffic signal pole is estimated to be delivered in March 2021, the project will be complete after installation of the traffic signal poles
