Weather Fells Tree, Northbound DB Boulevard

Wind and wet soil caused a large tree to fall across northbound lanes on Diamond Bar Boulevard.

UPDATE, 4:25 p.m.: The tree has been cleared and traffic has resumed passing northbound on Diamond Bar Boulevard.

UPDATE, 4:04 p.m.: Northbound traffic is still stopped on Diamond Bar Boulevard. Most of the tree debris has been cleared from the roadway.

UPDATE, 3:28 p.m.: City maintenance staff said the cleanup process will take 30 minutes to one hour. Crews are beginning to cut the tree and prepare it for removal.

A large tree fell on Diamond Bar Boulevard Monday afternoon, blocking northbound traffic, with no injuries as a result.

Tam Zianz, a waiter at , said the tree did hit one car but the damage was minor and the vehicle left the scene.

City maintenance staff is still working to clear the tree but no work has yet begun to clear the tree from northbound traffic lanes.

One witness said that the incident on Diamond Bar Boulevard is one of three trees in Diamond Bar felled by the weather today.
