2 Solano County Coronavirus Cases Tied To Travis AFB
A family member of an active-duty Travis AFB servicemember has the virus, as does a Travis AFB airman. Both are in isolation at their homes.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA — An adult family member of a Travis Air Force Base service member has tested positive for coronavirus, or COVID-19, according to Solano County Public Health. The person contracted the disease through community spread, and was in isolation at their home which is not on-base, county health officials said Sunday.
Additionally, an active-duty airman who lives in Contra Costa County but works at Travis AFB in Fairfield tested positive and is also in isolation at their off-base residence, the county said.
"Solano Public Health is coordinating closely with Travis Air Force base to provide important care to these individuals," the county said. "The agencies will continue to work together to mitigate the effects of the virus and provide pertinent updates as timely as possible. There continues to be a low risk of COVID-19 to the community."
